We have a full time position available for Maintenance Officer and Gardener at our beautiful Keith Turnbull Place Aged Care facility in Labrador. Just a couple of blocks back from the ocean, Keith Turnbull Place offers spacious lounge and sitting areas, shaded verandahs, landscaped gardens and a pool to cool off in and enjoy on those beautiful summer days.

Your Role

As a Maintenance Officer and Gardener you'll be looking after the facility and grounds for the most important people in our organisation - our clients. Your tasks will include:

• Assist with general maintenance of the property, general care and securing of all equipment before leaving the Facility each day.
• Manage garbage disposal by ensuring that refuse bins are always properly loaded, positioned for pick up and cleaned after pick up.
• Maintain maintenance schedules outlined in the duties list and ensure all scheduled checks are carried out.
• Perform driving duties of Ozcare vehicles (as required).
• Undertake courier and delivery duties (as required).
• Perform gardening duties including mowing of all lawns, ensuring edges and hedges are trimmed appropriately

Role Requirements

• A Certificate III or equivalent experience in a related area and/or A trade Qualification in the building industry, e.g. Carpentry/building (desirable)
• Be vaccinated against Influenza & have at least 1 dose of Covid-19 vaccine
• Current Police Screening Certificate
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
• Demonstrated experience in stock management
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in basic administration
• Good computer and mobile device skills
