Carrington is a not-for-profit center of excellence for retirees and has been providing state-of-the-art services and accommodation for independent living, residential care, and community care since 1889. Located in the historic village of Camden, Carrington is situated on 400 acres with an idyllic garden and bushland setting, with sweeping views over the Camden Valley.

We have an opportunity for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Officer to join our dedicated Maintenance team. The role is varied and you will be required to carry out skilled and general maintenance work in all aspects such as onsite internal and external building maintenance, basic carpentry, plumbing, replacement of tiling and flooring.

Essential Criteria:

• Working experience in a similar role for a minimum of 5 years
• Knowledge of tools, equipment and materials common to the environment
• Knowledge of codes, standards and regulations applicable to this role
• Knowledge of fault finding and general maintenance including assessment, installation and repair of the following, but not limited to, dishwashers, lifting equipment and air conditioners
• Ability to be hands-on and undertake physical activity
• Good communication and team work skills and also the ability to work unsupervised
• Computer literacy
• Available to work on call on when scheduled
