We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Node Developer who has a passion for creating new things, industry experience and is ready to take the next step and become a leader. The successful candidate will join our talented team at Syfre in our Brisbane office, developing AI solutions for our clients. Initially, you will be working directly with our Head Developer and CEO, and as new team members join in the coming months, your attitude towards achieving mastery in your skillsets, demanding perfection from your team and providing cutting edge development solutions to our clients will help shape the foundations of the company. We will provide the right candidate with mentoring on leadership and help them step up to the next level in their career.

What you'll be doing

• Design and develop high-quality, scalable Node JS API applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, implement, and ship new features
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices
• Troubleshoot and debug issues
• Assist our React Developers in reviewing their code and advising them on integration best practices
• Stay up-to-date with the latest JS trends, tools, and technologies particularly in AI
• Participate in code reviews and help mentor junior developers

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of professional experience developing Node applications
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience with RESTful APIs and web services
• Experience with Node JS backend frameworks
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• A friendly, positive attitude and a passion for continuous learning
• Experience with .NET ASP or similar backend technology is a big plus, but not a must
