My Client are a seasoned leader with over a decade of experience in the construction industry, is currently seeking a skilled Passive Fire Technician to join our team. With a focus on safety and quality, They specialize in providing comprehensive passive fire protection solutions to ensure the integrity of buildings and protect occupants in the event of a fire.

As a Passive Fire Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, and maintenance of passive fire protection systems in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Utilizing your expertise in fireproofing materials and techniques, you will play a critical role in safeguarding buildings against the spread of fire and smoke. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a passion for fire safety this could be for you!

Job Duties

  • Install passive fire protection systems, including fire-rated walls, doors, ceilings, and floors to prevent the spread of fire and smoke.
  • Retrofit existing buildings with fireproofing materials and systems to bring them into compliance with current fire safety regulations and standards.
  • Work closely with construction teams to ensure passive fire protection measures are integrated seamlessly into building designs and construction plans.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of passive fire protection systems to assess their integrity, functionality, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on passive fire protection systems, such as sealants, firestopping materials, and fire doors, to ensure they remain effective over time.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Passive Fire Technician or similar role in the construction or fire safety industry.
  • Thorough understanding of passive fire protection principles, materials, and installation techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform accurate inspections and assessments of passive fire protection systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and regulatory authorities.
