We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Head Trainer with prior BFT experience to lead our team of trainers, foster an engaging training environment, and drive the continued success of BFT Miami.
Position Overview
The Head Trainer at BFT Miami is responsible for delivering a high standard of group training sessions, managing the coaching team, and ensuring an exceptional member experience. The role involves leading by example, upholding BFT standards, and applying retention strategies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Session Delivery & Coaching:
- Lead high-energy, results-driven group training sessions in line with BFT programming.
- Provide personalised coaching and modifications to suit all fitness levels.
- Ensure all sessions meet BFT’s high coaching standards and create a positive member experience.
2. Member Retention & Engagement:
- Implement strategies to reduce member attrition and improve retention rates.
- Build strong relationships with members through personalised support and regular check-ins.
- Monitor attendance and proactively address potential cancellations.
- Collaborate with the Studio Manager to foster a community-focused atmosphere.
3. Team Leadership & Development:
- Manage and mentor the trainer team to ensure consistent, high-quality session delivery.
- Conduct regular meetings and coaching workshops to upskill the team.
- Provide feedback, performance reviews, and ongoing development plans for coaches.
4. Studio Growth & Operational Support:
- Support the sales process by contributing to trial-to-member conversion strategies.
- Develop and implement retention-focused initiatives to improve studio performance.
- Contribute to a social media content schedule by providing input and ideas.
- Assist in planning and executing community events, challenges, and open days.
Key Skills & Attributes
- Extensive BFT coaching experience, particularly in member retention strategies.
- Efficient in administrative tasks, including reporting and member follow-ups.
- Strong leadership, team management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build meaningful connections with members
Qualifications & Experience
- Prior experience (at least one year) as a coach within the BFT network is essential.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is highly desirable.
- Cert III & IV in Fitness (or equivalent), Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Strong understanding of BFT’s training methodology and philosophy.
