NTA specializes in delivering vocational education and training programs tailored for individuals pursuing careers in aged care, disability support, mental health and community services.
The Role
As an Educator, you will be responsible for delivering learning support initiatives across health programs. Qualifications relevant to this discipline are:
- CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
- CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)
- CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support
- CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support
- CHC43315 Certificate IV in Mental Health
- CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services (Case Management)
We are located in Burwood, Sydney. Please note, the successful candidate will need to have the skills and experience to support NTA as required.
This is a part-time role – approx. 16 hours, subject to negotiation for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver face to face training sessions
- Assess student work in accordance with assessment guidelines
- Initiate contact with at risk students on a regular basis to review progress and assist them to overcome barriers to completion
- Develop, implement and monitor Learning Support Plans for students with diverse needs
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings on a regular basis
- Contribute to the development and improvement of training and assessment strategies
Eligibility Criteria
- Current TAE40116 Cert IV in Training and Assessment or a higher
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) (desirable)
- Vocational qualifications and/or tertiary degree relevant to the allied health discipline
- Current Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
- Experience in delivery and assessment of VET programs to individuals and groups
- Current industry experiences working in allied health settings
- Technology and home office to support role as a trainer and assessor using a Student Management System (RTOM) and learning management system (CANVAS and LEARN)
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritise tasks
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience as a trainer/ assessor in the VET sector
- Previous experience as a trainer/assessor in a distance learning environment
- Experience in the development of training and assessment materials
