Position Responsibilities and Tasks:

The Assistant Dog Groomer will be crucial in supporting our experienced groomers and ensuring our salon's smooth and efficient operation. This position is ideal for individuals with a love for dogs and a desire to learn and grow in the professional grooming industry.

Responsibilities:

• Bathing and Drying: Thoroughly bathe and dry dogs of various sizes and breeds using appropriate shampoos and conditioners.
• Brushing and Dematting: Brush and demat dogs' coats, ensuring a comfortable and safe experience.
• Nail Trimming and Ear Cleaning: Trim nails and clean ears with precision and care, adhering to safety protocols.
• Preparation for Grooming: Prepare dogs for grooming by pre-clipping, brushing, and ensuring they are calm and comfortable.
• Salon Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized salon environment, including cleaning kennels, grooming tables, and equipment.
• Assisting Groomers: Assist experienced groomers with various tasks, such as holding dogs, handing tools, and providing support during grooming procedures.
• Customer Service: Greet clients and their dogs with a friendly and professional demeanour.
• Inventory Management: Assist with organizing and maintaining inventory of grooming supplies.
• Animal Handling: Safely and effectively handle dogs of various temperaments and sizes.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and hygiene standards.
• Learning and Development: Actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance grooming skills.

Qualifications:

• Genuine love for dogs and a passion for animal care.
• Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments.
