The role
The purpose of the Senior Finance Business Partner is to facilitate, support, and deliver on high quality management accounting, reporting, monitoring, analysis, and financial advice in a Public Sector and semi-commercial environment.
Key Reponsibilities:
- Develop productive relationships across finance and their stakeholders in supporting robust financial management within and across the Divisions, communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure maintenance and integrity of data, financial systems, management tools, and reporting.
- Use financial systems and management tools to produce reporting and financial modelling (including actuals, budgeting, and forecasting), and deliver on stakeholder financial information requirements, where the outputs are timely, accurate, and meaningful.
- Provide verbal and written financial reporting, analysis, and advice to support management decision making and financial management across Queensland Health, including identification of trends and opportunities for improvement, financial risks requiring management, relevant financial information for inclusion in briefs and executive correspondence, and monitoring & enforcement of financial obligations
The successful person
You will have demonstrated:
- Knowledge and skills in the provision of financial services, including management accounting concepts, practices, and strategies; and financial management legislation, policies, and procedures
- Knowledge and skills with the use and development of contemporary financial reporting practices, reporting fundamentals, and the understanding of financing, cost and revenue structures, drivers, and the relationship between each.
- Well-developed communication, negotiation, problem-solving, analytical, and consultation skills within a multidisciplinary workplace
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage a heavy workload, competing priorities, and the ability to meet deadlines and establish work priorities
