Child & Family Case Worker - Intensive Family Support Service

Your part in our UnitingCare team

We are currently seeking to appoint a Child & Family Case Worker to become a part of our UnitingCare FaDs team on a full time maximum fixed term contract for 12 months. This role will predominantly be based out of Toowoomba with regular outreach throughout the Toowoomba Region.

In this role you will;

  • Provide a mix of therapeutic and in-home practical care to support complex, vulnerable and often hard to reach families
  • Actively engage, assess and develop collaborative case plans to ensure we are prioritising the families' presenting concerns in turn preparing them to be referred to specialist support services
  • Have a genuine passion for helping people who are vulnerable with previous experience working with children and families who are at risk of or engaged under the child protection act
What makes a difference for us?
  • Tertiary qualification within Human services or related discipline
  • Driver’s license
  • Working with children blue card (or the ability to obtain)
  • Previous experience working inclusively with or as a part of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community would be highly regarded
