
Biomedical Technician Senior (Imaging/General Biomedical)

The successful candidate will deliver deliver high level technology support services with minimal supervision including but not limited to preventive maintenance, repairs, installation, commissioning, de-installation and general technical support.
Your key responsibilities
You will be required to fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with the Queensland Public Service values.
- Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
- Independently solve complex technical problems regarding health technology equipment and systems.
- Perform cross-discipline activity as required.
- Accurately document activity in the relevant information systems.
- Provide supervision, training and support to fellow team members, including technical practice supervision and/or supervision of small work groups.
- Assist supervisors and managers as directed with service planning, establishing priorities and scheduling major work programs.
- Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinical staff, equipment suppliers, service providers, team members and managers, to achieve service delivery objectives.
- Contribute to the development and continual improvement of technical practice and processes.
Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
- Proven high level of knowledge, expertise and skill in the maintenance, installation and technical support of health technology equipment and systems, including medical imaging systems and/or associated technology.
- Proven ability to apply independent judgment and initiative to effectively plan, execute and coordinate technical service delivery with minimal guidance from more senior practitioners.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinical staff, equipment suppliers, service providers, team members and managers.
- Proven ability to work as an effective team member to achieve organisational goals.
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement.
