Position Details and Expectation

Carpentry / Site Work

• Perform high-quality carpentry work, including framing, finishing, bathrooms, kitchens, extensions, renovations.

• Read and interpret construction plans, ensuring work meets specifications and industry standards.

• Conduct site measurements and ensure materials are prepared efficiently.

• Maintain a clean and safe worksite at all times.

Supervision & Leadership

• Oversee daily on-site operations, ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently.

• Lead and mentor a small team of carpenters and apprentices, providing guidance and support.

• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

• Monitor work quality and adherence to safety regulations and company standards.

Client & Team Communication

• Act as the a point of contact for clients on-site, ensuring clear and professional communication.

• Address client concerns and provide updates on project progress.

• Collaborate with project managers and office staff to ensure deadlines and budgets are met.

Health & Safety Compliance

• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.

• Conduct safety checks and report any hazards or incidents promptly.

• Promote a safety-first culture among team members.

Skills & Experience:

• Qualified carpenter with relevant trade certifications.

• Proven experience in both hands-on carpentry and site supervision.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure.

• Valid driver’s license and own transport / tools preferred.
