The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Senior Financial Accountant to join a well-established and growing healthcare provider. The role supports the group accounting function, playing a key role in month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance.

This is a broad role focused on financial accounting within a fast-paced and mission-driven environment. There is strong career progression potential, making this an excellent opportunity for a CA/CPA qualified accountant with 3–8 years of corporate experience, ideally in aged care, healthcare, or professional services. A process improvement mindset, strong initiative, and excellent time management skills will be highly valued.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the month-end close process including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Preparing and delivering monthly financial reports for senior management and operational stakeholders
• Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance, including statutory reporting and funding acquittals
• Partnering with operational teams to develop KPI reporting, revenue analysis, and cost-efficiency initiatives
• Supporting the external audit and tax compliance process, ensuring all financial records are accurate and audit-ready
• Maintaining and improving internal controls, financial systems, and process automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Assisting in budgeting and forecasting activities to support financial planning and decision-making

The Expertise

We are looking for candidates with:

• A tertiary qualification in accounting
• CA or CPA qualification (or near completion)
• A minimum of five years' accounting experience, ideally with a mix of corporate and professional services exposure
• Strong technical accounting skills, including experience in financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and solution-focused approach
