We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer / Lead Project Engineer, this role blends technical expertise with project delivery, requiring a highly competent engineer who can also assist with scoping and solution design. You will work closely with clients and account managers to define project requirements, create detailed work plans, and oversee implementation.

This engineer will take ownership of complex technical projects, from Azure migrations to security hardening and network upgrades. This role is perfect for an engineer who thrives on both technical execution and solution design and enjoys getting there hands dirty in complex projects for high profile clients.

This role is permanent & one of the most senior technical roles in the projects team. Qualifications & Experience

• Proven Managed Services Provider OR IT consultancy experience with exposure to medium-to-large scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, M365 security, networking, and cloud technologies.
• Ability to scope and design solutions in collaboration with technical teams.
• Experience in project delivery methodologies and financial aspects of project execution.
• Relevant certifications (AZ-104, AZ-900, SC-300, Microsoft Certified Associate, Fortinet, VMware) are highly desirable but not essential
• A problem-solving mindset with a proactive, autonomous approach.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and stakeholders
• Technical breadth of experience across: Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware, Networking (Fortigate, Cisco, Unifi), Security (Defender, Sentinel), Storage & backup (Veeam, S3 (Wasabi, Azure), on-prem SAN/NAS, Windows Server (2012-2021)

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Engage with clients and internal teams to scope and design tailored solutions.
• Develop and deliver projects, including Azure and private cloud migrations, Microsoft 365 security uplifts, SharePoint implementations, and network infrastructure upgrades.
• Configure and deploy Microsoft Intune and Autopilot solutions.
• Lead security hardening projects, including data loss prevention, conditional access, and multi-factor authentication.
• Collaborate with the solutions team to architect and implement solutions aligned with our technology stack.
• Provide technical leadership within the projects team, without formal management duties.
• Work alongside the project team and other senior engineers as a subject matter expert.
