Permanent Part-Time 0.42 FTE | School-Based Role | Work-Life Balance
Monday 8AM-16:30PM, Tuesday 8AM-16:30PM with rotating extended hours roster
Better Health Network (BHN) is seeking a passionate Oral Health Therapist to join our Smile Squad team! This is a fantastic opportunity to provide essential oral health care in schools while enjoying in-school hours and a meaningful, community-focused role—no weekend work required.
With 23 chairs across four sites and Smile Squad exam and treatment vans servicing the catchment, our well-established BHN Dental Service consists of 80 dedicated team members, some with 25+ years of experience in the local community. You’ll be supported by a strong administration team, including three receptionists, a practice manager, and a dental assistant team leader.

About the Role
As an Oral Health Therapist, you will:
- Provide high-quality oral health assessments, treatment, and education to school-aged children.
- Deliver preventative strategies and promote good oral health habits.
- Work within the Smile Squad program, ensuring children in schools receive the care they need.
- Participate in outreach initiatives such as pre-school programs and community health events.
- Contribute to a collaborative, supportive, and friendly team environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor of Oral Health or Bachelor of Oral Health Science
- Current AHPRA registration (essential)
- At least 2 years’ experience as an Oral Health Therapist (school-based or outreach experience highly regarded)
- Strong commitment to improving community health and reducing barriers to dental care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for working with children and diverse communities
