About the role

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team at Bris Port in Hemmant, QLD. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our warehousing and distribution operations, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials and products.

What you'll be doing

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods and materials within the warehouse & yard
• Unloadng and Loading of containers & trucks
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Assist with inventory management, stock-taking, and other warehousing tasks as needed
• Collaborate with the wider warehouse team to ensure the timely and accurate processing of orders

What we're looking for

• Valid forklift license and demonstrable experience operating various sized forklifts
• Must have experience handling out of spec steel and machinery
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety in the workplace
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and work protocols
• Knowledge of warehousing and logistics operations, with a focus on order fulfillment
