About the role
Nati Access Company is seeking an experienced IRATA wind turbine technician for a full-time role responsible for the maintenance and repair of wind turbines, including blade repairs. The suitable technician will need to have the following certifications to join our team:
Prerequisites:
- GWO Blade Repair
- GWO BST
- IRATA
- Construction Induction (White Card)
- Full Drivers Licence
- Currently living in Australia
Desirables:
- IRATA Level 3
- GWO Advanced Rescue Training
- High Risk Work Licence: Rigger, Dogger, Elevated Work Platform Operator (>11m)
- Hailo HWS01
- Confined Space Entry & Gas Test
What you'll be doing
- Inspect wind turbine blades for damage and wear
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance and repairs on wind turbines
- Collaborate with the NAC project manager and site management team to implement innovative repair solutions for wind turbines
- Maintain detailed records of all inspection, maintenance and repair activities
- Reporting to NAC project manager and the Client site representative verbally and through detailed written reports
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and industry regulations
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians
What we're looking for
- Proven extensive experience in wind turbine nacelle and tower inspection, maintenance and repairs
- Technical knowledge of wind turbine blade construction, materials, and repair techniques
- Proven experience as a wind turbine blade repair technician or a similar role in the power generation industry.
- Experience in assisting coating and paint repairs
- Technical knowledge and experience of advanced rigging operations and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical working instructions, drawings, manuals, and specifications
- Proficient in the use of specialised tools and equipment for blade and turbine maintenance and repair
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work at heights and in challenging outdoor environments
- Valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to remote wind farm sites as required
