About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Service Technician (Mechanical Fitter) to join our team at Air & Power in Belmont, WA. This is a full-time role, and you will be responsible for providing high-quality maintenance and repair services for our clients' pneumatic and mechanical equipment.

What you'll be doing

• Diagnose and repair a variety of pneumatic and mechanical equipment, including compressors, air dryers and other associated equipment
• Overhaul and rebuild of industrial air compressors and air blowers
• Perform scheduled maintenance and preventative service on equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Document all repair and maintenance activities in detailed records
• Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical guidance and support
• Work closely with the engineering team to identify and implement process improvements
• Maintain a safe and organised work environment, following all relevant health and safety procedures
• Assist the Service Coordinator with scheduling of work, organising and coordinating resources, scoping and determining priorities
• Develop business partnerships with clients
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
• Ability to work unsupervised to a high standard.
• Work is in our Belmont workshop and on client sites predominantly in the Greater Perth Area.

What we're looking for

• Relevant trade qualification or Mechanical Fitter or similar - required
• Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• A valid driver's licence C Class - Required

Experience and skills desirable:

• Restricted electrical license
• refrigeration experience
• elevated work platform
• confined space certificate,
• Forklift HRWL
• Previous compressor servicing experience
