MAYDAY Recruitment is currently searching for a Financial Accountant to join a leading insurance company in their finance team in Sydney CBD, on a 9 month fixed term contract starting mid March 2025!

You will manage financial accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation, journals, reporting and assisting the senior financial accountants.

Main responsibilities include:

• Accounts payable & receivable
• Ensure data reconciliation
• Support accounting and general ledger queries
• Support with accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure accurate and compliant reporting.
• Support the senior financial accountants on the team with financial tasks

The ideal candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, accounts.
• Strong understanding of accounting, reporting, and compliance standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail and communication abilities.
