Salary
Casual Teacher
$111.42 gross per hour (TAFE Queensland Educators’ Certified Agreement 2023)
Teacher (full-time equivalent)
$89,799 - $118,528 gross per annum (TAFE Queensland Educators’ Certified Agreement 2023)
Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
Teacher - Carpentry
Applicants must possess CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry, and the following:
- current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided.
- current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided.
- evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.
- current Queensland Driver’s licence.
Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials:
o TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
o TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools;
o TAE50111 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training;
o TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training, or its successor;
o TAE50211 - Diploma of Training Design and Development;
o TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development, or its successor;
o Higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland);
- Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
- Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
- Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.
Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
Highly Desirable
Candidates who possess the following will be highly regarded:
- CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction;
- High level of digital literacy skills across various platforms (online Learning Management Systems).
