Fernland has been a trusted supplier of horticultural products for over 42 years. Our Newcastle location specialises in turf-care solutions, and with our new Cardiff warehouse, we’re seeking a part-time Storeperson to support operations, allowing our team to focus on sales growth.

Role Overview

The Warehouse Storeperson ensures the smooth receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining high customer service standards. This role involves efficient warehouse management, stock control, and collaboration with team members and logistics providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Ensure orders are accurately picked, packed, and labelled; provide friendly service to clients and drivers.
• Stock Management: Maintain inventory accuracy, conduct stock checks, and report damages.
• Warehouse Operations: Load/unload trucks, organise storage, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to WHS regulations, and report hazards/incidents
• Team Collaboration: Support colleagues and assist in improving warehouse processes, refuse disposal, some local deliveries, phone response

Skills & Experience

• 2+ years’ experience in a warehouse environment
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
• Physically fit (ability to lift up to 25kg).
• Adaptable, reliable, and committed to customer service excellence.
• Full drivers licence required
• An interest in turf and horticulture is preferable but not a necessity
