About the Role:
Tradewind are proud to be working closely with a Secondary school in Melbourne's West, offering the opportunity for a junior Science/Maths and Psychology teacher to join the school this term. Key duties:

• Plan and deliver engaging Years 7-10 Science and VCE Psychology (Years 10-12) lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and VCE Study Design.
• Develop hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences that encourage critical thinking and scientific inquiry.
• Design and implement formative and summative assessments that measure student progress and meet VCAA requirements for VCE Psychology.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student learning and academic growth and prepare and submit student reports, ensuring accurate record-keeping of student achievements.
• Stay updated with educational advancements in Science and Psychology through professional learning and VCAA updates.
• Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness.

Skills & Experience:

• Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Must have VIT registration
• Demonstrate previous experience in teaching secondary Science and Psychology within Australia
• Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).

• Commencing from now, in a full-time, ongoing opportunity
• Work with students from years 7 and 10 in Science, Maths and Psychology
• Excellent modern science lab facilities with dedicated science assistants to help with practical lessons
• Salary range from $78k-$116k plus Super- experience based
