The Senior Policy Officer plays a crucial role enhancing and improving Solar Victoria's suite of programs enabling Victorians to access clean and affordable energy. This position contributes to the design and implementation of Solar Victoria's key programs, by providing strategic policy advice and supporting program delivery, through evaluation, research and analysis of opportunities and risks.
Using strong communication skills, the position undertakes policy development and analysis and is proficient in scanning and analysis of options. This is an exciting position supporting the delivery of key Victorian Government programs delivered by Solar Victoria. The position includes consideration of future programs and how these can support the Victorian Government in achieving its strategic objectives as Victoria transitions towards a renewable energy future.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- An appropriate tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in high level policy and program development and implementation is required
- Knowledge of fiscal policy, energy policy, or climate change policy is desirable but not essential.
- Experience working with government processes is desirable but not essential.
This is fixed term position available for a period of 24 months. The work location for this position is Melbourne CBD or Morwell, VIC with hybrid work arrangements available.
