The Opportunity
We’re seeking enthusiastic General Labourers with a “can do” attitude to operate non-destructive vacuum excavation units (truck – C/MR Class or trailer-mounted) and support our service locators. This role is perfect for those looking to build on their practical skills with opportunities for on-the-job training, career progression, and even the chance to earn qualifications like a Civil Construction Certificate III.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate & Verify: Safely use hand tools, power tools, and vacuum excavation equipment to verify underground utilities and conduct potholing.
• Safety First: Conduct daily hazard analyses and adhere strictly to safety protocols on active construction sites.
• Team Support: Assist service locators across a range of projects in the construction, utilities, and local government sectors.
• Site Duties: Engage in general labouring tasks including site restoration and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and vacuum excavation units.
• A valid driver’s licence (C essential; MR preferred).
• A strong commitment to safety and high work standards.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• A proactive team player who takes initiative and shows pride in their work.
• Possession of a White Card (Occupational Health and Safety Training Card).

Desirable:

• Experience with concrete saws.
• Previous exposure to construction sites, underground utilities, or roles such as Driller Offsider/Leading Hand.
• First Aid, CPR, or additional workplace training qualifications.
