We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join a Parks and Gardens team within a local council. You would be paid $37.15 per hour plus superannuation.

• Position: - Parks and Gardens General Hand
• Location: Wanneroo
• Casual contract
• Work Days: Monday to Friday
• Work Hours: 6:30 am – 3:30 pm
• One rostered day off (RDO) each fortnight
• Length of assignment: Approximately 8 weeks with the potential to extend from there

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining parks, gardens, and recreational areas within our community.
• Assisting with weeding, spraying and applying pesticides in local parks and gardens.
• Performing gardening duties including planting and pruning.
• Operating and maintaining gardening equipment and machinery.
• Assisting with the upkeep of paths, playgrounds, and outdoor facilities.
• Following safe work practices and contributing to a positive team environment.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in gardening or landscaping roles is essential.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence.
• National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing.

Advantageous Tickets (not essential but beneficial):

• Chemical Spray Ticket - Highly desirable
• Chainsaw Ticket - Highly desirable
• MR/HR Drivers Licence.
• Cert II / III in Horticulture.
• First Aid Certification.
