People Services Coordinator - SSP Australia (Sydney or Melbourne)

About the Role

SSP Australia are seeking an experienced People Services Coordinator to join our HR team based in either Sydney or Melbourne on a 6-month fixed term contract.

Reporting to the Payroll & People Services Manager, the People Services Coordinator will be mainly responsible for HR administration, advice and key integration projects.

You will be supported by a great leadership team. As an ideal candidate, you will be an experienced and professional team player with a can-do attitude and a commitment towards achieving outstanding results.

Responsibilities

• Generate contracts and employee updates
• Provide timely support and advice on HR Administration tasks and processes
• Assist in proactively managing advertising expense by providing feedback on recruitment trends
• Conduct pre-employment screening to ensure compliance (VEVO check, reference check, etc)
• Ensure all new starters are correctly onboarded across both HRIS and Payroll systems in a timely manner
• Ensure all employee change requests are processed as per the guideline and within the agreed timeframe.
• Complete other ad hoc tasks as required (Reports, Employee Verification, etc).
• Actively participate in process streamlining and improvement initiatives

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes

• Experience in HR Administration, HR Services or HR operations
• Experience in Hospitality industry (preferred)
• Experience in working with high volume recruitments and tight deadlines
• Currently possess or working towards a relevant qualification in HR (diploma/bachelor’s degree) would be advantageous
• Proactive, self-driven, resourceful, with excellent learning agility, and interpersonal & influencing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A genuine and honest, “can do” approach to all interactions
• Committed to continuous improvement, actively promoting innovation and best practice, constantly seeking feedback
