The Role

As a Butcher, you will play a key role in preparing high-quality cuts of meat for retail customers while ensuring food safety and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Butchery Manager, you will work within a structured and professional team to uphold the company’s high standards.
Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
✔ Preparing a variety of fresh meat cuts for retail customers
✔ Breaking down whole carcasses with precision and care
✔ Ensuring all meat products are prepared and packed according to company policies
✔ Following strict food safety procedures and hygiene standards
✔ Maintaining smooth and efficient day-to-day butchery operations
✔ Adhering to recipes, processes, and batch monitoring requirements
✔ Demonstrating excellent knife skills and attention to product quality

About You

You are a skilled and passionate butcher with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality. A team player, you take pride in your work and uphold professionalism in everything you do.
To be considered, you must be able to address the following criteria:
✔ Formal qualifications in Commercial Butchery or in the final stages of acquiring them
✔ Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
✔ Experience in breaking down whole carcasses and preparing retail meat cuts
✔ Excellent knife skills and a focus on product quality
✔ Ability to follow recipes, processes, and policies meticulously
✔ A team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
✔ Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and reliability
