Perfect for newly graduated nurses who:

Have been working in aged care as a carer through their studies and are now needing help transitioning to the Registered Nurse role.

OR

New to the Aged Care industry and looking to gain the experience working as a Registered Nurse while getting paid.

A quick glance!

Mentored shifts involve being mentored for the first shift, or up to three shifts, depending on the feedback and progress of the new nurse with an experienced RN or EN.

Ongoing support includes structured feedback, with Novice Nurses able to contact Mentors for advice and debriefing via face-to-face, phone, or email; Mentors may also visit during shifts to assist with specific skills, such as wound care.

Education opportunities include on-shift training to enhance knowledge and confidence on specific topics.

You may be required to travel out of your local area to attend the mentor shifts.

Successful applicants must have:

• Bachelor of Nursing and a current AHPRA with no restrictions.
• Rights to Work Australia.
• Ability to provide evidence of all mandatory background checks.
• Ability to provide evidence of all mandatory aged care vaccinations.
• 2 recent Clinical references.

After mentoring, for the right candidates who demonstrate strong clinical skills, FIFO (Fly-In, Fly-Out) and DIDO (Drive-In, Drive-Out) opportunities may be available, including 2-week, 6-week, or 3-month travel contracts in Queensland.
