Basin Sands Logistics is a well-established company that provides logistics services to its mining sector client in the Far West of NSW. We are looking for a motivated and reliable Reach Stacker Operators to join us at our Broken Hill & Ivanhoe NSW locations.

Your Role

As Reach Stacker Operator you will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of containers at the MSP Broken Hill & the Ivanhoe Rail Siding. The ideal candidate will be an all rounder that brings the flexibility to work between the two BSL locations on a regular basis.

Duties

• Efficient operation of a Container Forklift (Reach stacker)
• Load and unload trains with containers as instructed and as per daily operating procedures
• Reposition container/s within the rail siding as required
• Keeping the rail siding tidy and systematic
• Stack containers as per Safe Working Instructions
• Complete all necessary associated documentation
• Take good care of vehicles / plant under your care
• Ensure compliance with all Safety & Fatigue regulations

Details:

• 14 / 14 or 7/7 rosters
• Drive in / Drive Out
• Dayshift Only (Dependant on train arrivals/departures)
• 10 Hour shifts
• Extra hours as required

Required:

• Current forklift license (High Risk R-stacker)
• Experience with container forklift operations
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
• Ability to work well within a small team environment
• Comply with regular Drug and Alcohol testing
• Must be fit for work with a good level of fitness and general health
• Ability to pass a medical / D&A testing
• Be reliable & consistent
