Prince of Peace Lutheran College is a K-12 co-educational, independent, Christian school located in the north-western suburbs of Brisbane. The College was established by the Prince of Peace Lutheran Congregation in 1984 to provide quality Christian education to the children of the community.
Prince of Peace Lutheran College offers classes on two sites from Kindergarten to Year 12 with approximately 700 students enrolled. The Junior Campus (K-6) is located at Rogers Parade West, Everton Park. The Middle & Senior Campus, 1 km away at Henderson Road, Everton Hills was opened in July 2009 and is home to Years 7-12.
- This is a contracted part time, FTE 0.8, position, commencing in Term 2, 2025 until the end of Term 1 2026 (Maternity Leave contract).
- This position involves a number of tasks within the College context including:
- Physical Education Teaching F to Year 6
- Sports coordination of carnivals across the Junior school K to Year 2, Year 3 to Year 6 carnivals.
- Sports coordination for students competing at District and Regional level teams and sports.
- Organisation and coordination of the Year 4 to Year 6 Primary Gala day sport as part of the College's involvement in the Northern Independent Sporting Schools Association (NISSA). This includes organising team practices, meeting the NISSA schools, convening a sport and other duties associated with NISSA sport.
- Some sports coaching and team supervision with NISSA sport on the Middle and Senior Campus.
- Provision for negotiated extra release time has been built into this role.

SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Demonstrated skills which reflect commitment to, and understanding of, the Christian ethos of the College
2. Demonstrated professional skills
- Ability to develop professional relationships with children
- Ability to develop professional relationships with staff, colleagues, parents and members of the community
- Ability to work collaboratively with NISSA organisation to deliver quality sporting experiences for students
3. Demonstrated ability to plan and implement high quality teaching and learning programs
- Demonstrated knowledge of Queensland Curriculum and Syllabus documents
- Ability to integrate ICTs as cross curricular priorities in the curriculum
4. Knowledge and Qualifications
- An appropriate tertiary qualification in education
- Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (or able to obtain registration).
5. Sports Coordination
- Ability to plan, organise and implement Athletics and Swimming Carnivals, Cross country events
- Organise and work with NISSA (Northern Independent Sporting Schools Association) in Swimming, Athletics and Cross-country events
- Promote and communicate North District sporting opportunities including Athletics, Cross Country and Swimming events.
- Work closely with NISSA Gala Day coordinator and support these trainings and events.
