About You

You describe yourself as energetic, passionate about what you do and possess an excellent work ethic. You will be our key arborist, demonstrating your exceptional work ethic and attention to detail in everything you do. The successful applicant must love this trade as much as our Director does. Have a passion for delivering quality service in a professional manner. Ideally you will be a natural problem solver, with a can-do attitude, who enjoys getting the best out of your teams and can also work autonomously. You are a highly motivated and driven to succeed individual who leads by example, walks the talk and takes ownership of their role.

What you need -Essential

• Certificate III in Arboriculture (or equivalent) OR minimum 5 years experience in the industry (and willing to obtain Qualification/Cert.)
• ESI Cert II Powerline Vegetation Control (or willing to obtain certification.)
• Elevated Work Platform licence/Squirrel Operator (or willing to obtain.)
• Vehicle licence - manual “C” class licence & “MR” class manual licence ( willing to obtain licence).
• You should already hold (OR be willing to obtain certification) to operate Chainsaw & Chipper.
• Hold current “Provide First Aid” Certificate & National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old or be willing to obtain.)
• Substantial experience in the arboricultural industry, expert in climbing, pruning and dismantling large trees safely to the ground, rigging, skilled leader and invested in developing your team mates.
• Diploma of Arboriculture training may be available for the right person.
• Accurate written communication skills.

What you need -Desirable

• Experienced in all aspects of the Arboricultural industry.
• Experienced team leader.
• Certification to operate Chainsaw, Stump Grinder & Chipper (or willing to obtain.)
• Basic mechanical skills (tool & vehicle servicing) .
• Possess an understanding of Occupational Health & Safety.
• Great communication & customer service skills.

About the Job

In close collaboration with the company Director and Operations Supervisor you will contribute to quoting, scheduling work, deliver outstanding customer service and develop the skills of your team members.

You will be responsible for assisting Operations to coordinate 5 or more teams, contribute to growing company profitability, support the maintenance of company equipment and promote improvement in yourself and the teams.

Safety leadership is vital and will include toolbox talks, incident reporting, site inspections and implementation of safety protocols. You will be supported by a dedicated office team, keen to assist your delivery of reports, job documentation and maintenance requirements
