**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and elevate our culinary offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pub cuisine, exceptional leadership skills, and a creative flair for developing seasonal menus. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene while creating a positive and collaborative working environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Develop and implement innovative seasonal menus that align with our pub’s vision and cater to a diverse clientele.

- Lead, mentor, and manage the kitchen team, fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement.

- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.

- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control, minimising waste while ensuring the availability of fresh ingredients.

- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with local regulations.

- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and a positive dining experience for guests.

- Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as needed, including training programs for kitchen staff.

- Engage with suppliers.

**Qualifications:**

- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a busy restaurant or pub environment.

- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

- Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes.

- Leadership and management experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

- A creative mindset with a willingness to experiment and innovate.

- Relevant culinary qualifications are preferred.
