About the business and the role

We are looking for a Dispensary Technician for 32-36 hours per week (part time permanent). Hours are 10am-7pm on four weekdays and an occasional weekend shift.

We are a small community pharmacy with a big reputation. We practice "forward dispensing" where our pharmacists process scripts while seated with the customers in the store. Team work is essential to our work flow and we currently have a tight knit and supportive team. Our service-based model has previously won us the Australian Pharmacy of the Year. We have a very close relationship with our community and local health care practitioners.

Job tasks and responsibilities

The key task of all staff is to maximise the opportunity for professional interaction between customers and the pharmacists.

Key responsibilities for our Dispensary Technician include;

1. Collate the stream of scripts being processed by our pharmacists
2. Manage and order dispensary stock.
3. Organise afternoon deliveries.

Skills and experience

Previous dispensary experience is required. Efficiency, accuracy and attention to detail are essential when working in a pharmacy dispensary. Because we are operating a service-based model, clear and concise communication skills are also required.
