Our Dalkeith Gardens residential aged care home is looking for After Hours Manager or G5 Registered Nurse. Dalkeith Gardens is situated in the heart of the Latrobe Valley in Traralgon home to 112 residents and provides around the clock genuine care by dedicated, conscientious staff.
Our residential aged care homes are just that - a home for our residents. They provide a comforting and warm space for older Victorians to live, supported 24/7 by our experienced and kind-hearted staff.
We’re looking for experienced Grade 5 RN’s with strong clinical and leadership skills, to provide afterhours support to the residents and staff on Night Duty shifts throughout the week. The Grade 5 RN will work in permanent, part-time or full-time shifts.
As the After Hours Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the care of the residents and leadership to staff. Some of your duties will include:
- Providing excellent, person-centred resident care in relation to each individuals needs
- Providing guidance and support to the care team and act as a mentor in their development
- Maintaining documentation; completing resident assessments, incident investigation and related care documents in accordance with policies, procedures and to meet accreditation standards
- Working collaboratively with the ACFI/funding team and management to achieve expected ACFI results and organisational targets
- Encouraging genuine connections between residents, families and staff
- Utilising the suite of technology to report, plan, analyse and manage resident care and workplace behaviour

To best support our residents, we’re looking for more motivated Nurse’s with:
- A current AHPRA registration (Bachelor of Nursing or higher)
- The ability to show empathy and treat others with dignity and respect, and a collaborative approach to working with residents, staff, colleagues and other key stakeholders
- An understanding of the aged care legislative framework and requirements, including safe medication administration and the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI)
- Able to lead, mentor and support clinical staff effectively as the only clinical member on shift
- Critical thinker with excellent time management skills and attention to detail
- A high level of accountability for your own work
- A friendly and positive attitude with the ability to demonstrate client-focused behaviour
- The annual flu immunisation and a committment to receiving the immunisation each year
To work in Residential Aged Care you will need to have an NDIS Worker Screening Check. The NDIS Check lasts for 5 years and can be used with any organisation / employer. You can find out more information about it here. You can still apply for a job if you do not have the Check already, but you will need to receive it before you can start working.
