Ohana College is a growing Co-Ed Independent Secondary Special Assistance School for students who have disengaged from mainstream schooling, our sister school Arcadia College is located at Robina.

Our beautiful brand new purpose built Secondary College is located at Meadowbrook. We're looking for highly motivated and engaging teachers, who want to join us on our exciting journey in our stunning new school and be part of changing the lives of our students. Selection Criteria –Teacher:
- Demonstrate a flexible and highly engaging teaching approach with an emphasis on building relationships with challenging students to achieve academic outcomes.
- Experience and in an in-depth knowledge of The Australian Curriculum.
- Practical knowledge and understanding of the NCCD/EAP process and its implementation within the classroom.
- Current full teaching/provisional registration with Queensland College of Teachers or an ability to gain registration in Queensland.
- Experience teaching and/or working with young people at-risk and students with disabilities.
- Understanding of social and emotional learning in a Secondary School context.
- Workplace resilience and an ability to work under pressure.

Applicants are to supply their resume and in a covering letter, responses to the selection criteria above, along with details of three professional referees. Only qualified Australian Secondary School Teachers need apply. This is a permanent full-time role 5 days per week 8.00 am until 3.30 pm with 20 contact hours per school week & 15 Hours for planning & meetings.

Mandatory Requirements:
Current Queensland Teacher Registration.
Minimum 3 years of experience working with at-risk youth.
In-depth understanding of the challenges faced by disengaged young people.
Current Queensland Driver’s Licence.
