Position Overview: We are seeking two full-time, on-site CPA Certified Tax Accountants to join our dynamic team in Port Melbourne. In this role, you will take on a variety of tasks, from preparing and reviewing financial statements to providing expert tax advice to clients. You will also be involved in reconciling accounts, preparing Business Activity Statements, and assisting with SMSF audits. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will ensure the highest level of compliance with tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and other financial documents for a variety of entities.
• Reconcile accounts and assist with SMSF audit preparations.
• Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and manage tax reporting.
• Provide tax advice and support to clients, ensuring compliance with current tax laws.
• Work closely with senior tax partners, contributing to client engagements and providing financial reporting support.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• CPA certification is essential.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in tax accounting or a similar role.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software such as Xero, Reckon, and MYOB, as well as Microsoft 360 Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for client interactions and documentation.
• A strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
• A commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with tax laws and regulations.
