About the Job

We are seeking the skills of a person with experience or interest in operating Computerised Machinery in our advanced Machine shop. This is a production environment which offers a secure full-time position within a growing and progressive company. The current role is for night shift however, other opportunities on day shift are available on request. Training and support are provided and over time may be given to those willing to learn and work as a team.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Operating some of our many high tech and multifunction Okuma, Mazak and Gleason CNC Lathes, Machining Centres and Gear Shapers.

Ability to read and understand our Drawing or willingness to learn.

Follow existing procedures and make proactive contributions to process and productivity improvements.

Be a proactive team member within a great team.

Meet production schedules.

Ensuring that machines under your control are operated to required standards.

Your skills, experience, and qualifications:

You have experience or exposure to CNC Machinery or workshop environment.

You have sound English communication skills, both written and verbal.

You are clean and tidy in your appearance.

You conduct yourself in a professional and personable manor.

PTE Services Pty Ltd (a member of the PTE Hydraulics Pty Ltd Group) is a premier Hydraulic Cylinder and Rotary Actuator manufacturer, operating out of Acacia Ridge in Brisbane's Southside.

PTE boasts an extremely modern and advanced workshop with over 30 plus high tech CNC Lathes and Machining Centres, which include multifunction CNC Lathes, fully flexible Manufacturing Systems (FMS), the only electronically guided Gleason CNC Gear Shaper in Australia and various other Robot welders and deburring systems.

PTE prides itself on making sure that continues modernising its workshop to make life easier for the operators and keep itself competitive and progressive.

The position is carried out within our factories in Acacia Ridge, and our normal working hours are:

Afternoon shift:

3.30pm to 12.00am Monday to Thursday

12.20pm to 17.40pm on Fridays

Day shift: Available

7.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Thursday

7.00am to 12.20pm on Fridays

PTE offers full time employment, excellent working conditions, and competitive above award wages. The successful applicant can expect to earn between $30p/h and $40p/h dependent on you skill set or qualifications.
