St Clare’s Primary School is a Catholic primary school located in Officer with a current enrolment of 590 students. The School was officially opened in 2015 and is one of two primary schools in St Patrick’s Parish.

The School, as part of St Patrick’s Parish, Pakenham, provides access to Catholic education to families situated in the western area of the Parish and boasts vibrant, modern classrooms that are well appointed and resourced.

The role of the primary deputy principal is to support the principal and leadership team in managing the planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of the education of all students at St Clare’s Primary School. It will involve working closely with the principal in enacting the strategic directions of DOSCEL and the strategic deployment of resources, which reflect the following key priorities:

• Enlivening faith education and Catholic identity
• Improved learning outcomes for all students
• Strengthening and development of expert teacher practice, leadership formation and capacity building
• Ongoing commitment to effective and supportive governance.

We are seeking a suitably qualified applicant with a proven record of leadership and who aspires to principalship.The position will initially be offered on a fixed-term basis for three years, with opportunity for renewal. The successful applicant will be offered ongoing employment at the School as a teacher.

Role Classification: Primary Deputy Principal Level 4 (550 – 699 students) in accordance with the Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited Schools and Secretariat Agreement 2022.

Tenure: Three years fixed-term (underpinned by an ongoing teaching position), with a possible second period of appointment

Classification: Primary Deputy Principal Level 4

Start Date: Term 2, 2025 or by negotiation

Salary: $148,262 - $152,320
