About the role
The Strategic Projects Officer will be leading the strategic projects that sit within the within the Integrated Care and Partnership team.

The role includes the following:

  • Leadership and Initiative: Lead at least two strategic projects, collaborating with both primary and tertiary health care sectors.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Use your sound judgement to manage and incorporate diverse stakeholder viewpoints and evidence.
  • Project Management: Coordinate, develop, implement, and evaluate strategic projects aimed at increasing equity of access to primary health care.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external program and project managers to ensure stakeholder consultation and involvement.
  • Accountability: Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, while managing outcomes, deadlines, and ethics.
  • Strategic Contribution: Provide analysis and advice for future steps or iterations of projects, contributing to our PHN strategic priorities.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex and multiple projects or programs simultaneously to deliver desired results.
  • Experience working in primary or tertiary care setting or strong demonstrated understanding of the Australian health care system.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to write and engage with different stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated organisation and time management skills, with a proven ability to deliver high quality outcomes in agreed timeframes.

Additional Information
*PHN's have been funded by the Department of Health and Aged Care since 2015. This is a maximum term contract until 30 September 2026 and any contract extensions are dependent on ongoing funding.

**Salary: This role is classified as I – M within our Enterprise Agreement and the rate will be dependent on skills and experience/qualifications. New appointments are generally offered between grade I – K.
