The Clubhouse Hotel is currently seeking applications to fill the position of Senior Bar Manager. Situated just off the Hume Highway and only a 45-minute drive from Canberra, The Clubhouse is the hotel of choice for weekend events, dining and accommodation in Yass.

About the Role

Salary: $72,000 Annually

Permanent Full Time

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Venue open and closing responsibilities.
• Liaising closely with Venue Manger to improve and maintain expected business practices.
• Liaising with head chef in absence of Venue Manager where required.
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring exceptional service and customer satisfaction.
• Management of inventory, stock levels, and stocktaking processes.
• Training, mentoring, and motivating staff to deliver superior service and uphold brand standards.
• Monitoring and review of staff performance, providing feedback and guidance as needed.
• Rostering staff effectively to meet business requirements.
• Ensure that all conditions of the licence are being followed and upheld by staff and patrons.
• Monitor and maintain hotel cellar to a high level of cleanliness and organisation, including the removal and minimisation of possible hazards or regulatory violations.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Excellent personal presentation and attention to detail
• Current drivers’ licence and own vehicle.
• Current RSA and Advanced RCG qualification.
• Current TAB and Keno training or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in bar management is desirable but not essential.
• Barista and experience in a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential.
• Proven expertise in managing large volume outlets ideally within a gaming environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a team and resolve inhouse staffing issues.
• Demonstrated cash handling and experience in financial management, including budgeting and cost control.

This is a fast paced and diverse environment and includes weekend and night time shifts. The need to find an individual with flexibility is vital.
