Job Title: Site Manager
Location: Sydney
Reports To: Project Manager / Construction Director
Job Summary:
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations, safety, and maintenance of the site. Your role is to ensure compliance with safety standards, manage efficient site operations, and keep daily activities running smoothly. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth, safe, and secure operations of a defence site. A Site Manager must combine strong leadership, technical knowledge, and strict adherence to safety and security standards.
You will be working directly with our contract’s administrator, and report to the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Operations: You will manage daily activities, ensuring efficiency and coordination among your team and contractors.
- Safety & Compliance: You will implement safety protocols, conduct inspections, and ensure regulatory compliance across the site.
- Resource & Staff Management: You will supervise staff, ensure they are properly trained, and manage resource allocation effectively.
- Maintenance & Equipment: You will oversee site maintenance, repairs, and installations to keep operations running smoothly.
- Reporting: You will prepare and present regular reports on site status, operations, and any issues that arise.
- Budget & Cost Control: You will assist with budget planning and track costs to ensure financial efficiency across the site.
- Security and Access Control: Manage and monitor security protocols and access control procedures for sensitive areas on site.
Qualifications:
- Education: You should have a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Facilities Management). A background in defence or security services is a plus.
- Experience: You will have previous experience in site management or ideally in a similar industry including department of defence sites.
- Skills: You should possess strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., H&S, Project Management) will be beneficial.
