About the role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Part-time Accounts Officer to join our dynamic team at Lamberts in Coopers Plains, Queensland. We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised part-time internal bookkeeper to join our team and help maintain the financial records of our business.

Position Overview:
As our Accounts Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax and accounting regulations, and providing valuable financial insights. The ideal candidate will have experience using MYOB and will be capable of handling all aspects of bookkeeping within a small to medium-sized business environment. This part-time role has the potential to transition to full-time as the business continues to grow and financial responsibilities expand.

What you'll be doing

• Maintain accurate financial records using MYOB
• Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and supplier payments
• Reconcile bank feeds and other financial records
• Prepare BAS and PAYG records for submission to our Accountant
• Assist with payroll processing
• Generate financial reports and provide insights to management

What we're looking for

• Relevant experience in a bookkeeping or accounts clerk role, ideally within the Manufacturing/Fabrication Industry
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate financial records
• Strong proficient in using MYOB accounting software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
• Formal qualifications in Bookkeeping would be highly regarded
