The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our dynamic Construction team. The role involves assessing project specifications for House Removals, Demolition and Asbestos Removal industries, and compiling Quotes for clients. This position offers a varied and engaging scope of work, contributing to diverse projects, working with project deadlines, and working with fellow construction professionals, clients and suppliers.

About Us

Busby House Removals, Demolition & Asbestos is a growing, innovative business based in Rockhampton, Central Queensland.

We undertake work primarily throughout the region up to Mackay, out to Longreach and down to Bundaberg. We move houses, office blocks, boats & more, we raise and restump houses, carry out Class A & B Asbestos Removal, and Commercial and Domestic demolition works.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least five years experience estimating & costing in the Construction Industry
• Work effectively in a Team Environment
• Drivers License
• Excellent commitment to detail
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Excellent computer skills in related software
• Able to work under pressure at times

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Job Estimation/Quoting
• Ordering of materials/equipment
• Job Analysis/Administration
• Site Visits (some out of town)
• Liaison with clients
• Quality Assurance
• Adhere to Workplace Health & Safety standards
• Personal qualities including reliable, adaptable, excellent communication skills both verbal and written, punctual, organised and motivated.
