About the Role

Reporting to the Manager of Health, Safety, Security, and Emergency Management, you will play a key role in health business partnering, supporting a diverse range of stakeholders. This position requires a proactive and hands-on approach, collaborating with operational leaders to address occupational health concerns and enhance overall workforce wellbeing.

📍 FIFO from Brisbane or DIDO from regional areas with flexible arrangements available.
✈️ Flights, meals, and camp accommodation included while onsite.
📅 3–6 month contract with the opportunity to transition to a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

• Support injured or ill workers through effective return-to-work processes aligned with workers' compensation requirements.
• Provide technical expertise in injury prevention and management.
• Maintain health reporting, data integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Build strong relationships with medical and allied health providers.
• Lead the coordination and execution of rehabilitation and return-to-work programs.
• Advise on health-related risks to enhance business health management.
• Develop and implement evidence-based health improvement strategies.
• Support the design and improvement of health systems, processes, and resources.
• Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have a genuine passion for workforce health and wellbeing and a strong understanding of the resources sector's role in managing employee health.

Essential qualifications and experience:

• Tertiary qualification (highly desirable) in a health-related field (e.g. Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, or Exercise Physiology).
• Minimum 2 years' experience in mining or a related industry.
• Knowledge of health legislation and workers' compensation case management.
• Experience delivering health strategies and injury prevention initiatives.
• Ability to coach, influence, and support a mentally healthy workforce.
