The Role

SSWEATSHOP screen printing is seeking a Screen Printing Operator. This is a long-term career opportunity for someone who is highly engaged in today’s modern print environment and wants to join one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and have the skills and experience to work independently as well as within a wider team. This position is hands-on and reports to the Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review daily work order, observes specifications plus any special notes on daily job sheets and set up jobs accordingly.
• Work closely with the press assistant throughout the job run to make sure the order is completed to the highest quality standard.
• The press operator is responsible for the general operation and maintenance of an auto press.
• Ensure the press and work area are cleaned throughout the shift, work closely with press assistant to dispose of all rubbish, clean ink spills, screens, and squeegees.
• Communication to the Production Manager for print approval and issues.

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum 2 years of automatic press operating experience
• Operate M&R Auto Press or similar
• Capable of problem-solving meeting both the company and customer’s expectations.
• With the ability to work under pressure and towards deadlines.
• Maintain print quality and optimise production and minimise waste
• Physical ability to stand on feet all day and be able to lift up to 25kgs
• Excellent communication skills with team members and the production manager
• Australian citizen / permanent resident
