About us
The Portable Long Service Authority (the Authority) is a self-funded statutory body established to administer the Long Service Benefits Portability Act 2018. The Act, together with the Long Service Benefits Portability Regulations 2020 provide a Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme. The Authority plays an important role in allowing workers in the community services, contract cleaning and security industries to build up long service benefits based on time in their industry rather than with a single employer. About the role
The Authority is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Policy Officer to support the Authority's evolution as a best practice regulator by providing data and insights analysis, policy guidance and regulatory advice, and drafting of a range of high-quality written reports, articles and submissions.
The Authority has offices located in Melbourne and Bendigo, with our head office located in Bendigo. This role can be located in either location, however travel to the alternate office will be required from time to time.
About you
The successful Policy Officer will offer specialist skills and knowledge in researching and identifying issues, trends and policy solutions, with capacity to apply those skills to support the Authority in administering the Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme. You will also have expert analysis and written communication skills and strong stakeholder management skills and a can-do attitude.
