Merthyr Bowls Club was established in 1948 Built next to the Limbless Soldiers’ Club, back in 1944 it was known as the Limbless Soldiers’ Bowling Club, designed as a place for service men and women to socialise and relax along the banks of the Brisbane River.

The Club continues to grow with a very busy bar and Bistro trade and eight gaming machines.

Our friendly team are committed to friendly service enhancing guest and member experiences. Success in this role hinges on exceptional interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for food & beverages and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring seamless service and maintaining a positive work environment.
• Foster exceptional customer relationships by engaging with members, offering beverage recommendations, and ensuring their hospitality experience is memorable.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards and liquor laws.

Ideal Candidate:

• Must have previous bar and food service experience 2 minimum years , bar opening and or closing experience is a plus
• Creative, fun, and innovative approach to beverage menu, events and hospitality experiences
• A passion for hospitality
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be guest focused
• An ability to thrive under pressure and work in a high paced environment
• Proven ability to work autonomously
• Have a current RSA
• Have a current RSG
• Availability Thursday- Sunday is essential – currently trading Tuesday – Sunday
• Experience with POS systems
