About the role

Deliver high level Physiotherapy assessment, management, and consultancy working in a secondary contact role for patients presenting to the Emergency Department, to facilitate optimal patient outcomes and efficient patient flow. The role requires participation in a seven-day roster system including shift work.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Deliver high level autonomous Physiotherapy clinical consultancy services across the broad spectrum of presentations to the Emergency Department, including complex medical co-morbidities and musculoskeletal caseloads, utilising evidence-based practice to guide non-routine clinical decision making.
  • Actively contribute to the development of professional and clinical standards, clinical practices, and work unit guidelines.
  • Lead and participate in developing and implementing quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of physiotherapy services and undertake portfolio responsibilities as delegated.
