This family-owned South Australian concrete manufacturing company continues to grow in the local market. Located on the northern fringe of the city, we are currently creating a strong culture based on contemporary values and providing their people with the tools and resources needed to develop in their careers and generally improve the business.
The Role
In this diverse role, you will assist across a variety of areas within the business and become the ‘go to’ person in the office. Some of your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Personal assistance to the General Manager & Assistant Plant Manager
- Managing the day-to-day operations of all the office requirements
- General administration, including diary & receiving concrete orders and management into the daily worksheet system, assisting with order allocations
- Providing & assisting managing staff as and if required
- Crafting LinkedIn posts, Instagram etc and maintaining the company website
- Email Management
- Accounts Receivable and Payable Management
- Assist with Payroll
- Organising internal social events
- Other general office duties
To be successful in this role, you will have the confidence and initiative to excel in all that you do. You will have previous exposure to the construction industry or similar, and 5+ years’ experience in an Office Management or PA role.
Your approachable personality and strong organisation skills will see you succeed as you oversee the duties and manage the daily operations of the office. You will have the ability to work independently and multitask on a range of tasks. More than anything, we are looking for an Office Manager who engages with all staff and can support all levels of the business.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following skills/attributes/qualifications:
Essential skills and experience
• Previous experience in an Office Management role would be highly regarded
• Proficiency in the use of computers and Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• A good understanding of IT systems
• Exceptional customer service experience
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
• Exceptional ability to build relationships with stakeholders
• High level organisational skills, initiative, and drive
• Business Administration and/or Bookkeeping/Accounting qualification or equivalent preferable;
• Demonstrated Xero Accounting system experience essential;
• Excellent attention to detail;
• High level of enthusiasm and motivation;
• Strong organisation and communication skills;
• A good “team building” attitude;
• Ability to prioritise;
• Problem solving skills;
• Ability to work autonomously;
• Ability to work under time pressure & remain composed
