Workfast are currently looking for a Maintenance Fitter in Yatala, QLD. This is an ongoing position starting off on a casual basis with a view of permanent employment after probation period.

Our client is a well known organisation that produces a wide range of customised products, specifically, carrier bags, fruit and vegetable bags, garbage bags and freezer bags.

Responsibilities :

• Repairs, breakdowns and maintenance of conveyor belts.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the maintenance function.
• Implement and follow preventative maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

• Formal trade qualification as a Fitter or Machinist.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work safely and in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with production and other maintenance staff.
• Positive, proactive attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and self-motivation.
