We are looking for an Electronic Equipment Technician to join the team. The head office is located in Kellyville and the right candidate will be working at client sites in the Hills District and Upper North Shore.

Job description

As an Electronic Equipment Technician, you will be an integral part of our team that will be turning plans and dreams into reality.

Electronic Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining, adjusting and repairing electronic equipment that supports our pool installations and maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • As part of the team complete activities required in the installation of swimming pools by effective utilising electronic equipment and ensuring a timely delivery
  • Supporting the Supervisor to deliver quality pool installations and concreting as per plan, project outcomes and pool building standards in line with Narellan Pools Standards and Australian Standards
  • Conduct thorough inspections of machines, equipment, instruments, and control systems to identify faults or areas of wear and escalate issues to the Director.
  • Test functionality and performance of pool equipment and document results and recommendations for the Director to review.
  • Repair, adjust, and replace defective or worn parts, wiring, and components to ensure proper functioning pool installation
  • Reassembling pool equipment, conducting test operations, and making necessary adjustments in line with the agreed project plan
  • Supporting the Supervisor by providing guidance to team members on proper operating procedures for pool systems to help prevent malfunctions
  • Decode and interpret technical instructions, messages, or blueprints related to pool installations
  • Monitor radio communications to stay informed about project updates, team movements, and pool site conditions
  • Transmit and receive clear, concise voice messages to coordinate tasks and address issues in real time in a professional manner. Escalate issues identified to the Director and supervisor.
  • Install and configure electronic instruments such as timers, sensors, controllers, and automated systems for pools according to pool installation plan.
  • Set up control systems to ensure optimal functionality for pool installation process.
  • Apply expertise in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to commission control systems for pool operation in line with the pool installation plan.
  • Inspection and identification of equipment defective parts and machines for replacement
  • Ensuring the test and maintenance of electronic equipment and escalating issue and needs for maintenance and replacement
  • Perform adjustments and repairing on machines and electronic equipment used for building and maintaining pool by ensuring the equipment can be used safely and free of hazards
  • Test electronic equipment and machines after fixing or readjusting
  • Training labour for operating equipment machine correctly, ensuring the correct use in order to avoid equipment breakage or depreciation
  • Installation and setup of electronic equipment to be ready for use
  • Applying and monitoring the control systems for using electronic equipment and machines
  • Monitoring the activity of construction and maintenance of swimming pools through the correct use of equipment and relevant knowledge in electronic equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic techniques related to the process

Skills Required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A high level of organisational skills is required, and you will need to be able to work unsupervised and within time guidelines

Education and Previous Experience Required

  • Certificate IV in Electronics and communications is essential
  • A valid White Card
  • Relevant previous experience required

Working Arrangements

Full-time hours: 38 hours per week

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $75,000 per year plus superannuation

Schedule:

  • 7.6 hours per day
  • Monday to Friday
